“Together, we aim for progress through innovation and making a tangible difference.”
Online Plastics Group is one of the fastest-growing e-commerce companies focused on the European market. Naturally, this comes with plenty of technical challenges! That’s why we’re looking for an enthusiastic Back-end Developer (32-40 hours per week) to join our team and help us grow even further.
Robert is our go-to person for all your questions about working at our company. Feel free to contact him!
As a market leader, Online Plastics Group places a strong emphasis on technology. You’ll be developing a modern, service-oriented platform that drives our entire process—from creating content for over 10 different countries to managing our production here in the Netherlands. This ensures that our customers’ orders are delivered the very next day, in any shape or size they require. The various applications within our platform communicate via a Message Bus, RPC, or HTTP, while external applications connect to our platform through an API Gateway.
Our Tech Hub in Zwolle is expanding, bringing together diverse disciplines to create one of Europe’s leading e-commerce platforms. You’ll collaborate with experts in Data Science, CRO, UX, AI, and of course, other developers and product owners. Our front-end developers use Next.js and TypeScript to build our shops and calculators.
As a Back-End Developer, you’ll work on creating new functionalities for our customers by developing innovative APIs for our shop. You’ll also help reduce transport damage by designing clever algorithms and support your colleagues with new internal tools. You’ll keep a close eye on new developments within our tech stack and continuously integrate them into our platform.
You’ll be part of a truly multidisciplinary team, building high-quality solutions that support our ambitious growth goals across Europe.
We are a young, dynamic organisation rapidly emerging as a leading supplier of fully customised plastic sheets across Europe. Through our specialised webshops, such as Plasticsheetsshop and Plaqueplastique, we cater to both large businesses and DIY enthusiasts. Our ambition? To become the market leader in sustainable plastic sheets throughout Europe. We aim to achieve this with strong content and a team of dedicated, eager-to-learn professionals. From our headquarters in Arnhem and eight branches across Europe, we work tirelessly on our growth and development. Training sessions and marketing events keep us sharp and innovative.

Interested? Send us your details, preferably including your CV. You’ll receive a confirmation email from us.
Once we’ve received your application, we’ll let you know within two working days whether we’d like to have a phone call to get to know you better.
Our corporate recruiter will give you a call for a short conversation of about 20 to 30 minutes. This way, we can both get a better sense of each other.
Is there a click? Then we’ll invite you to our office in Zwolle. That way, you can immediately see and experience what your potential future workplace has to offer.
During the second interview, we’ll dive deeper into who you are and explore whether there’s a match on multiple levels. You’ll also meet more people from Online Plastics Group.
We’ve noticed that the A-players we’re looking for really appreciate spending a few hours with us to get a feel for how things work here. We fully support that. That’s why we organize a morning or afternoon to shadow the team. Don’t worry—your time will be valued accordingly.
Are we both excited? Then we’ll make you a concrete offer. We’ll go through the terms with you and make sure you’re set up for a great start. If everything looks good, we’ll sign the contract together—and you’ll officially be part of the team.
